read, eat, watch, wear

It's late November and it's so very cold outside. All I want to do is cuddle up in bed with my family under cosy blankets, watch cartoons and drink a warm cup of coffee. I want to enjoy a good book when the kids are asleep, or watch new episodes of my favorite TV shows.

And I want to be inspired to make and enjoy home cooked meals with my family that are not only kid-friendly, with the best ingredients of the season.

Our December is for spending time with close friends and family, for enjoying meals and conversations, and playing with the many children we have in our lives. And I can't wait to spoil my family and my closest friends with presents that I carefully selected to make them happy.

I collected a few of my favorite things to do, to read, to eat, to watch this december. Maybe you'll find some inspiration, maybe it will make those short winter days a bit easier to get through until the holiday is here. I hope you enjoy

These days I'm really inspired by GRØD when cooking meals for our family. GRØD (which means porridge) has really redefined this type of food for me. My best friend gave me the cook book and I'm really impressed by how delicate the food is. The recipes are very versatile and quite easy to manage. Every season has its' own chapter. Personally I'm really a big fan of the different variations of Risotto. And my children are too. You can get the cook book here in both Danish and English

I just began reading 'Rien ne s'oppose à la nuit', in Danish this book is called 'Alt må vige fra natten'. Written by Delphine de Vigan. The story is really intense, a memoir camouflaged as a novel, and I can't wait to read more

I've recommended it before, and I'm happy to do so again. 'The Affair' is by far one the best TV shows I've ever seen. If you haven't seen it, I'm actually quite jealous. HBO Nordic is releasing a new episode from the third season on mondays. The suspention and the storylines are unbelievable. And Joshua Jackson is more handsome than ever. I'm considering if I should start over and watch all of the episodes again. It's that good.

Wear cashmere. Always wear cashmere. Hats, scarfs, pull overs. Socks. These socks are from COS and are very affordable. Invest in cashmere. Buy less - choose well

If you're Danish and you like small collection of texts I recommend Københavnske Istidende. You can read more about it here. And I would recommend every one to have a pretty cup to drink your coffee from

On this page I collect my work, my memories and pretty things I stumble upon

I'm a mother of two little, stubborn girls. For me, writing and photography go hand in hand with parenthood. It's all about documenting the little things in life. Keeping memories of their childhood close
